Private Sector Agility, Ohio State Depth

Combining world-class additive manufacturing-related research and advanced technical development, Proto Precision Additive offers an efficient product design, analysis, simulation and engineering process. As your total value leader, our team can design hybrid components combining additive manufacturing and traditional fabrication to produce  parts with minimal lead times, reduced project costs and maximum quality.

Advantages of Additive Manufacturing

Additive manufacturing has truly revolutionized the way parts, tools and components are created. Laser powder-bed fusion additive manufacturing utilizes a system of lasers to selectively fuse layers of fine metallic powders.  In this way, AM can produce complex features and geometries which are difficult/impossible to achieve using traditional manufacturing methods.  By employing multiple lasers at once, production times can be dramatically reduced.  Print large parts in a fraction of the time, or print identical multiples of the same component for increased production volume; multi-laser SLM systems will save time and money.
